Starting on 12 01 2012 the icann will start accepting applications for new generic top-levelRegistro dominios. The icann manages the web addressing system, for most of the top level words in any language or character set for use in a top-level domain. Under the system once ICANN grants the top level domain to a company, any one who would like to get a domain will have to pay that company for it. For example .shops .car etc. The application fee for one of these Registro de dominios is $185.000 and the application will be open till the 12 of April 2012. The process will be a few months, and will have a final decision open to for anyone to file a formal objection.
